The second answer (I think) is correct. Caramelize some water and sugar first usually 1 is to 1 is the ratio. Don't mix it since the sugar will recrystallize again just brush water on the sides since the sides is the first part to burn then when its caramelized already you can pour it in your popcorn. be careful though because caramel is really hot. i think youll get 3rd degree burn to 4th if it splatter on your skin.

You can put like a fourth cup of water in a pan then add a cup of sugar. while stiring bring it to a hard boil and when it just starts to turn a little brown pour it over the popcorn and mix it up quickly because the sugar will set up fast.

Depends on what kinda maker you got. I've done it both ways in my life. An air popper is made very clean, just the natural kernals but you would have to add butter for any toppings to stick. The other way is stove-top. you put oil in the bottom of a big lidded pot. put the toppings in with the oil or on afterwards. That's very time sensative, might take afew times before you have a rhythm down, but it's worth it. use a healthful oil.

Yes ,but I think there's something about the butter or oil from microwave popcorn. I am not sure but maybe check the instruction manual as I think from memory that the butter may do some damage to the machine. I might be wrong.
